Included in the kit are bark carvers and chisels with different sizes and shaped tips for a variety of design techniques. Use the graver tools to perform jinning effects on the bonsai. As you chisel or carve into the bark you are creating effects that in time become deadwood. These bonsai tools are sometimes called gravers and designed for carving.
Applying pressure to the tool will allow hobbyists to break into the bark. Please anchor your tree and make sure it is stable, pushing too hard without proper measures and anchoring assurance may risk uprooting your tree. Try to avoid using graving techniques without first making proper preparations. When ready, go to work on your vision, allow wood to dry, and then beautiful jin will appear a couple days later.
Always make sure your edges are sharp and clean. Some people like to apply tape or material around the base for grip. Please make sure if you perform applying additional grip to your tool, that it is tightly wrapped, as loose material may be difficult to tool.
