Elm bonsai trees, whether American or Japanese are typically outspoken trees that tell you exactly what they need. When you learn more about them, you'll realize that their leaves do all the talking - more water, too much fertilizer, or whatever the situation may be.
The seedlings should germinate well and the tree will grow pretty slow at first, then spring into growth. They typically look good in a traditional broom style, but that is your choice.
